I do realize that if I ever wanted to garner the attention of a man these shorts would do the exact opposite. It's a good thing I'm married or I would be screwed! Just jokes. But seriously, we all know certain trends and fashions aren't the most flattering or sexy to the opposite sex sometimes. I mean there is an entire blog devoted to repelling men! But the question is...when you dress yourself to go somewhere, do you dress for you or do you dress for someone else? Food for thought. Clearly by the looks of my fabulous bloomers, I'm only dressing to impress good ole' ME.

Second, I think you pose a very interesting question. I think that I dress for myself. My hubby totally does not get fashion at all and barely notices what I wear (except when I wear sequins). I like to feel good about myself specially since my job is not very glamorous and I have to basically wear tennis shoes and jeans to work.So when I plan my non-work related outfits I just wear what makes me feel good.

Those may be bloomers, but when I first saw them I thought it was a bubble skirt. No matter WHAT they are, they are KEYOOOOOOT. Loves that entire ensemble. Yup, you're a looker.

Somehow I think you'd have no problem attracting men and that pretty lace top, but I know what you mean. I am often accused of dressing way to utlitarian/preppy during the day--it's just much easier for production. But at least I try and look pretty when I go out at night. Anyway, great outfit {as always}!

Bloomers look fantastic on you. I love the mix of lace with the bold clutch too. If I was wearing that outfit I don't think the hubby would notice the bloomers, ha. But I think you should dress how you feel. One day I might wear jeans and the other a fitted suit and the next a hippie inspired dress and boots. We are complicated woman and we should be able to be all styles.
