Sunday I found myself with "nothing to wear" (famous last words) for a lunch meeting and there was no time to mope & think about all of the things I was lusting after that weren't currently residing in my closet ...I needed to think quick, be inventive and get a move on it. Enter...dress worn as a skirt. One of my favorite trends this season is the elegant and ever so innocent Midi skirt. So while standing in my chonies (great picture, isn't it?) the lightbulb went off, I stepped into gear and turned the plain dress into a fab midi! Success...Sometimes it's all about making a purse out of a sow's ear, u know?

I could not tell the skirt was actually a dress from the pictures. I have been there, you know, panicked thinking I have nothing to wear and only a few minutes to get ready and interestingly enough, I have come out with some of my cutest outfits this way. Just like you did, this outfit is awesome.

Okay FIRST I want to tear all your necklaces off your neck..LOVE each one more than the next.
For my days that I "have nothing to wear"....I have a "go to" back up outfit that I always feel great in- like a black tank dress or something that I can funk up with different accessories or shoes. usually works.

Never would have guessed that was supposed to be a dress-it's such a divine midi! Since my office is prep-central (it looks like an Easter day parade in here most days), my go-to when I've got nothing is a bright colored oxford, jeans, ballet flats and pearls-easy enough!

WOW! I can't believe that's really a dress. Great job getting creative. I find that "I have nothing to wear" moment a lot when it comes to outfits I wouldn't normally need. So when the occasion arises, I'm like "I knew I should have bought that (whatever)"
